When Families Become the System for Psychotic Disorders Abstract
September's presentation featured Kelly Comcowich and Robin Predny sharing their lived experience in Colorado's behavioral health system that leave families functioning as de facto treatment providers for loved ones with psychotic spectrum. They will be presenting this information at the CBHC Conference in October.
MEDICAID WORK REQUIREMENTS
The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) held a webinar covering federal changes to Medicaid on June 2nd. H.R. 1, formerly known as the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," created work requirements, also known as community engagement. Some members of Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) will be required to report new information regarding their work, school or volunteer activities to maintain coverage. HCPF is developing new processes for these changes and is tracking the impact of emerging federal guidance.
